Our guide Fjiona was really nice and made the trip smooth and funny. The trip was so well organized , and the WhatsApp group helped a lot with it. “Great value for money. Fantastic guide, friendly & knowledgeable. A small group which was good. Interesting stops: Durres, beautiful Berat and Lake Belsh. Some of the walking wasn't easy, slippery stones and steep ascents & descent at times, be warned. It was a long day but worth it. Travelling might be easier at the weekend when Tirana traffic is lighter? If it's hot you'll need a hat, suncream and lots of water.”

“Meer dan de helft van de activiteit is reistijd, om half 9 verzamelen uiteindelijk pas om tien voor 12 gaan canyoningen om vervolgens om 2 uur alweer klaar te zijn en pas weer rond half 6 terug in Berat te zijn. Activiteit zelf is echt mega leuk maar niet de moeite waard met al het reizen erbij. Mensen zijn wel aardig en de lunch was ruim voldoende. Was ook een beetje aan de dure kant vind ik voor wat je er uiteindelijk voor krijgt”

“This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Albania! Definitely recommend it if you visit Berat. Our tour guide Ervis picked us up at the hotel and drove us around the main spots while explaining interesting details about the sites and albanian culture. During the hikes we also had time to explore on our own pace, swim in the waterfall and the canyon. It wasn't an intense hiking experience, which we were happy about, as we still drove south to Sarande after the tour. Thank you for the tour!”

Bruno was great to walk through the castle with. Bruno even helped us out after the tour with transportation to Alpeta winery (I highly recommend going there!). My favorite part was the hosts sharing about their lives, learning about a youth under the communist regime, and all the changes that have occurred in the Berat Castle village over time. This isn't a Cordon Bleu class on special cooking techniques for luxury foods. Instead it's an opportunity to learn how real Albanians cook traditional foods in a home setting. “The drive up and down involves bouncing around in a 4x4 and winding up loose gravel tracks and watching the landscape change as you get higher. The hike is through pine forest and beautiful landscapes, with Mount Tomor looming above impressively. The castle is definitely a ruin, with no standing walls remaining, but the location is very scenic. The lunch is delicious as well, with several Albanian specialties. The guides are happy to answer any questions and have everything well organised.”
